I already have a Fastbind perfect binder and want to bind ready-made hard covers, what do I need?

You only need the hard cover tool kit to bind hard covers with your binder. The hard cover tool kit consists of a paper guide and a specially shaped nipping bar. Once installed, you can use the paper guide for both soft and hard covers.

The change of the nipping bar from soft to hard takes less than 2 seconds.The hard cover tool kit can be installed on all Fastbind perfect binders of the new generation (ONE Sense Ultra, ONE Handy, Pureva Smart and Sart Cube)

Do I need to purchase Fastbind glue and why?

We highly recommend you to use only Fastbind glue in Fastbind binders. Fastbind glue has been developed specifically for Fastbind, so the melting point and working temperature will give you the best binding results.

Moreover, using another type of glue could damage your equipments and would void the warranty.

Can I bind original formats?

With Fastbind, you are free to bind any book format from metro tickets up to letter+. You can bind any dimension or shape in this range: landscape, portrait or square books. EVA XT allows even larger dimensions (up to ledger+)

Can I do free-floating spine, so my books look really professional?

The free floating-spine method gives a very professional look to your hard cover books and they open really flat! With Fastbind, bind a book using this method is very easy:

• First, you bind you book block using Fastbind lay-flat strips (special canvas strip)
• You attach your bound block inside your cover
• Then, you remove the protection of the end-papers: your book is ready!

I already have a stock of front and back covers that we always use I the company. Shall I throw them away if I purchase a Fastbind perfect binder?

Absolutely not! Everybody agrees that a wrap around cover and perfect bound books looks more professional than a separate front and back, but you can still use your existing stock of covers with Fastbind.

Fastbind provides Manager Strips that allow you to bind your documents using a separate front and back covers. The strips are available in several thicknesses and color to suit all your needs.

I have a Fastbind ONE Handy and I am planning on purchasing EVA XT. May I use the same glue?

Absolutely! All Fastbind manual binders work with the same glue. Just remember that you should NEVER recycle used glue or use the glue drops on the trays and always use clean and dry glue!
